World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading
The item upgrade lets players increase the gear rating of an item up 700 points and also add a final bonus. Items can be upgraded by keeping them in inventory and heading to the kiln.
Certain items can be upp'd to benefit from their unique stats (like an ideally broken point armour that is rolled for melee PvP) while others like weapons do not change significantly after an upgrade and thus aren't worth upgrading.
Weapons
Upgrades to weapons can improve their numerical stats, including attack damage, crit probability and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons also have a flat bonus which increases the damage they deal per second. Additionally, many weapons have a set bonus which is activated when three or more of the same weapon are equipped on a unit. This bonus can sometimes exceed the damage a weapon upgrade can do on its own.
item upgrading 's upgrade costs depend on the nature of the weapon as well as its current level. For instance, a +2 weapon requires two standard Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade a weapon will increase until it needs a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point, it will reset back to one.
Upgrading weapons will also reroll their base stats. While this is usually beneficial however, it could have negative consequences too. In the case of items that only see use in a specific build (Whistant's shield for FB sorcs for instance) upgrading them could render them useless unless you have an extremely fortunate roll.
Items of armor can also be upgraded to boost their stats. This can boost the defense of a chest or helm while belts and gloves can boost their strength and agility. Armor also offers an option to reroll its Enhanced Defense percent, which means that it may roll back to a lower number.
The upgrade template for a weapon shows the new stats it will gain upon upgrading and their respective values. This means that an upgrade from a sword with 8 damage to an 11 attack-damage sword will result in a weapon receiving 3% of attack damage. However the 3% difference doesn't mean that it will hit for 3 fewer times, since it is an absolute statistic.
Rerolling a weapon can be possible by pressing the green button in the item menu, using the arrows that are circling. item upgrading will roll the item and alter its stats, however, it will not reset the weapon's level nor bind to account status.
Armor
A few upgrades to your armor can make all the difference to your survival. Certain sets can offer MASSIVE increases in poison, curse, fire and magic resistance, which makes the journey through difficult terrain a breeze. In general, the more defense you have on your character, the greater health you'll get from each point. Therefore, it is recommended to upgrade your armor.
You can upgrade your armor by visiting one of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four Great Fairy Fountains within the game, and to unlock them all, you have to complete an additional quest involving the Stable Trotters. Once you've done the main side quest and have completed the corresponding fountain and then you can speak to any Great Fairy to open up the armor upgrading menu.
The amount of materials required to upgrade each piece of armor will differ. You'll need anywhere from three Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees to upgrade the initial armor piece, and anywhere between five Rubies or ten Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns to upgrade the next one. For example the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, allowing you to keep up with a large group of enemies in most cold conditions and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded up to +20 defense, giving the protection needed to survive a full on raid with a few friends.
Note that armor can't be upgraded in the same manner as weapons, so you'll want to concentrate on upgrading it to gain physical power if you're Warrior or Spell Power when you're Mage. It's also worthwhile to save your armor upgrades for armor you'll wear at the end of the game, like the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield or the helmet you use to fight the final boss and the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.
You can also get some perks for your armor by giving the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. You'll typically want to keep these upgrades for the weapon that you'll use to beat the game. For instance, the Longsword or Battleaxe. However, it's beneficial to have a few upgrades to the helmets and chest armor to allow you to get around a few monsters.
Potions

Potions are liquids that, when consumed by the player, give the player with a temporary effect for a short period of time. There are five kinds of potions, each having a specific set of effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded to enhance their level of effectiveness. Alternatively the effects of some potions can be enhanced by adding redstone or glowstone dust to the potions.
Upgrades to potion cost a certain amount of XP, which can be earned by making them on a table or the chest of the Alchemist. However, the upgrade price is dependent on the type of potion you'd like to upgrade, and also on the item's Mark Level and Rarity.
To upgrade a potion to the next level, right-click on it in your inventory and choose the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This opens an GUI where you can choose the potion you want to upgrade and the amount of XP they will produce when upgraded. The upgrade of potions can be completed in batches of up to five at a time, and the XP that they generate will be added to your current XP total.
Once a potion has been upgraded, it will not be degraded until you use it again, or break the bottle it's stored in. You can also rename the potion by clicking it in your inventory.
Version 1.7.2 introduced a few modifications to the mechanism of potions. Splash potions, for example are now available with a time of 0:08 instead of the 22.5 seconds displayed on the item hover display. The table of potion now crafted from four Wood Planks, and two Glass. It can now be used in both Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions are not compatible with cauldrons, unlike Java Edition. This is the same for using a potion within a cauldron that is full. This will drain the potion, and refill the bottle.
Lastly, there are now lingering potions, which are made with splash and dragon breath potions. Redstone can be added to potions that are lingering to increase their effects. The potion table has been rearranged to look more like the Java Edition. New potions are also added, such as the potion of leaping and decomposition.
Trinkets
A trinket is a small and inexpensive ornament or piece of jewelry. It could also refer to an object or decoration that serves a purpose, but is not particularly important like a thimble. In certain cultures, a trinket is used to signify affection or friendship, specifically between family members.
Players can upgrade trinkets as well as weapons and armor, as well as potions. They can be upgraded by visiting an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate amount in currency. Trinkets, unlike other items that can be upgraded can be exchanged at any time without losing stats.
Upgrade vendors are located at the capitals of each zone, and in some instances in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are available using tokens, gold, or fragments from a rare trinket.
Upgrades are a cheaper alternative to purchasing a new trinket. You can upgrade their trinket for as little as 12 tokens. The new trinket comes with the same level of base as the old trinket, however, it will also come with an additional 1% bonus upgrade.
Trinkets can be upgraded when they're no longer needed, allowing a player to increase their power and worth over time. They can be traded among players which makes them a good alternative to gold.
Players should upgrade their most essential items first. This usually refers to the most valuable-in-slot items for their class, followed by their secondaries and then other gear items that they won't replace in the near future (for instance an earring or cloak). When deciding on which items to upgrade players should also take into account the preferred statistics of their class. For instance when Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for tankers it is recommended that they upgrade their helm, chest shoulders, belt, and helm.
Trinkets are able to be upgraded to a higher ilvl once they no longer have value and the new trinket will have an additional bonus of 1% for upgrading. A re-upgrade, however, will cause the trinket to be destroyed unless it is salvaged with the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a salvage tool. Upgrades to trinkets can be more expensive than other upgrades but still less expensive than purchasing an entirely new trinket.
